Interested in learning a new skill?  Use a rigid heddle loom to weave a table runner or two placemats for yourself or as a gift.  Looms are provided. If you have a loom of your own and want to learn how to use it, bring it to the first class. You will learn how to warp a loom, weave, and remove the finished product from the loom.

This class offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with the newest fiber arts phenomenon - rug tufting. We will provide your frame, your tufting cloth, your choice of four different yarn colors from our selection, and your tufting machine, as well as an instructor to guide you through it! By the end of the two day class, you’ll have a fully tufted rug. You can choose a design from our preselected options or create your own design! After the workshop we will finish the backing of your rug for you, and they will be available for pickup right back here at the PAC.

Come create a beautiful blooming cactus embroidery design with us! In the process of making your design, you will learn basic stitches such as the backstitch and satin stitching. You will also learn about texture stitches like french knots and laid work which can add some three dimensionality to your piece. Patterns will be provided by the instructor. No previous experience required.

Looking for a new hobby or a special gift? Try using a rigid heddle loom to weave a beautiful scarf. With the loom prewarped by the instructor, you'll be able to start your project straight away. Looms are provided, but if you have your own and want to learn how to use it, bring it to the first class. The instructor will reach out to class members about a week before the class to discuss yarn and color options. Plan on bringing around 500 yards of yarn to ensure you have enough to complete your scarf.
