The goal of Instructional Open Studio is for students to work freely within a flexible schedule while an instructor is present. Instructional Open Studio is open to students that have taken the Introduction to Screen Printing class and have a beginner to advanced knowledge of screen printing. During these hours students may come in and work, this is not a led class, but more of a working studio where questions can be addressed to instructors and peers. We hope to create an environment where students can experiment and get creative while having a community of support!
During Instructional Open Studio for Screen Printing students can use our supplies and equipment (i.e. ink, exposure unit, emulsion, etc.) however, students must provide their own screen and materials to print on (t-shirts, paper, fabric, etc.) Our printmaking instructor will be present during studio hours to assist in prepping screens, printing imagery, and addressing any questions or concerns during the process.
