DESCRIPTION:Tuesday's March 5th - April 30th 6pm - 9pm. Instruction will introduce basic to advanced wheel-throwing techniques. Beginners will start with centering the clay and throwing cylinders and bowls. Returning students will continue to refine their personal style, learn advanced techniques and focus on individual projects. Glaze application and decoration will be explored as a group. We hope you come and join this creative ceramic community!\N \NInstructor's name\NRon Jones is a longtime artist and former employee of the City of Stillwater, as well as a graduate of Oklahoma State University. His work focuses on the organic fingerprint of the potter, which continues to influence and inspire his students as a current instructor at the Prairie Arts Center.\N\NCourse type\N8 weeks; class meets once a week for 3 hours (24 hours of instructional time)\NWhile enrolled in class Instructional Open Studio time is included.\N \NClass time\NTuesday's March 5th - April 30th 6pm - 9pm\NTuition\N$175 members, $225 non-members\N \NAges\N16 years old and up\N \NSupplies included\N20lbs of clay will be supplied. Students should have a basic toolkit or may use the art center's kits. All glazes will be supplied.
