DESCRIPTION:\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\N\NTechniques for Soft Pastels\NFriday & Saturday, November 3 & 4, 9 am–4 pm\Nwith Jude Tolar, PSA*\N \N\NThis two-day workshop will focus on techniques for painting with soft pastels. We’ll work mainly from life, both outdoors ––weather permitting ––and indoors. Ideally, we’ll spend one day outdoors, painting from life (en plein air). And the other day we'll work indoors, painting from life and/or from photos. (Details will be determined closer to workshop time, when we know more about weather.)\N\NI’ll demo each day and work with each artist individually. All levels of experience are welcome, from beginners to seasoned pastelists. Ages 16 and up.\N\NSee separate Supply List for recommended materials. \N\NSupply fee:  I will bring Art Spectrum ColourFix sanded paper, which you can buy at my cost. This will be about $10 per large sheet (approx. 19 1/2 x 27”). We’ll cut those to smaller sizes (11x14, 9x12, 8x10”). Plan on using at least one, maybe two large sheets. \N\NYou are welcome to bring your own paper, if you prefer. Just please be sure it is sanded paper.
