Stillwater: Community Stories, Community Murals

Picture1

Stillwater: Community Stories, Community Murals is an opportunity for Stillwater residents to share information, family histories, personal stories, and hopes and dreams, through a series of workshops. Residents will witness their stories come to life through a community mural. Oklahoma stories, folklore, and history of the area are shared with community participants. Participants are then given an opportunity to share their stories with the group. Each person designs an 18x24” block with an image or design that relates to their story. All designs will be displayed at the Prairie Arts Center and other Stillwater locations, and specific blocks will be selected by the Stillwater community for a series of mini murals that depict Stillwater community stories.
