Advanced Art Academy is geared specifically for our teenagers wanting to learn or develop specific art mediums. Each session a new medium will be taught such as drawing, watercolor, ceramics, etc. For September and October we will focus on foundational drawing techniques using graphite, charcoal, pen, and colored pencils. All skill levels welcome!

Instructor's name
Liz Dueck is a teaching artist who works primarily in landscape oil painting and ceramic sculpture. She received her BFA from Oklahoma State University as well as a minor in Art History and a K-12th Teaching Certification for Art. Dueck has exhibited her work at various galleries in the OSU campus, as well as in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Last year she had taught art in Costa Rica and now is very excited to work with the community of Stillwater as the new Art Education Coordinator of the Prairie Arts Center.
