Class time will be spent looking and discussing contemporary and historical paintings and their impact on culture today.  Students will be introduced to multiple techniques and given a variety of exercises to develop experience in a supportive environment.

  • Watercolor Winter Wonderlands

    Using vivid watercolor paint and various techniques, learn how to create a snowy winter wonderland. The painting will be given two 9" X 12" pieces of watercolor paper to make their snowy scenes.

    Heart Shrine

  • Wood Burning

    Learn basic wood burning techniques in this afternoon workshop. Bring in any natural wood item you would like to customize and we will help make it happen! Additionally, bring in printed images of your designs as we will use carbon paper to transfer our images onto the wood. Scrap wood will be provided to practice on, and wood cutting boards will be available for purchase. Otherwise, bring in wood items of your choice, this way everyone can make something special!

  • Wreath Making

    Decorate your own personal wreath with natural assorted pinecones, seedpods, nuts, leaves, and acorns. Make it your own! There will be gold and silver paint, ribbons, and anything else I can find in my studio that would enhance a holiday wreath. Your finished piece can be hung on a door or wall or placed on a table with a candle in thecenter. You will be able to use your creation for years to come.
