The Art of Indonesia: June 4th-7th

Join us for this first week of camp as we explore the artists and artistic traditions of Indonesia. Indonesia has a rich tradition in the textile arts and is well known for its ceremonial and performance based visual arts. Expect this week's projects to include, among other things, introductory batiking, mask making and puppetry!

Each week students will create works inspired by the history, geography, culture, and art of a different country or region below the equator. Each 4 day camp will include a combination of two dimensional and three dimensional projects, and will be divided into a 6-10 year old age group and an 11-14 year old group. As always, we will learn a lot, play, explore, and expand our understanding of art and the world around us!
