Curious about American Mahjong but not sure where to start? This two-day introductory class is designed to guide you through the fundamentals of the game in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Participants will learn the basics of American Mahjong, including tile recognition, game setup, turn order, and how to read and play using The Big Card by The Mahjong Line. Instruction will focus on understanding the card, building hands, and developing confidence in gameplay.

Join us for our 2nd Annual Holiday Print Party! All are welcome at this FREE community event on Saturday, December 20th from 10 AM – 1 PM. Spend the morning printing holiday cards and wrapping paper using our extensive collection of holiday linocuts.
Flood The Streets With Art 2025
We're excited to announce the 7th Annual Flood the Streets with Art event in Stillwater! Our mission is to make art accessible to everyone by spreading FREE art throughout the streets. This initiative, which started on Facebook, is now a beloved community event in Stillwater. Local artists generously donate original pieces, which can range in size and form, whether 2D or 3D. You’re invited to contribute your own artwork! On December 13, 2025, we’ll hit the streets with our Art "Wagon," distributing art for the community to discover. Community Art Studio
Come relax and be creative in our Community Art Studio! Every Saturday, from 10am-12pm, we will provide the space and supplies for you and your family and friends to enjoy a making activity. Directions and an example will be provided for each activity, as well as a staff member to answer questions. Please plan on staying with your children, as this is not a drop-off class. These activities are free, suitable for all ages, and come and go. The projects will change monthly.
The (Handmade) Ornament Emporium
The (Handmade) Ornament Emporium is the place to come to find unique, handcrafted, and up-cycled ornaments for this holiday season! Ornaments are lovingly created by the staff and artists here at Prairie Arts Center. Give these treasures as gifts or hang them on your own tree! All proceeds go to supporting future programming here at Prairie Arts Center.
Pottery Seconds Sale
Come visit us for Pottery Seconds Sale! The Prairie Arts pottery studio staff, students, and instructors are hosting this fundraiser to help support the center. Proceeds will go towards supplies for youth classes, equipment, and our scholarship fund. Pottery seconds are either glaze experiments, flawed in some minor way, or overstock, and will be offered at bargain prices. We will also have several ceramic pumpkins for sale as we always do during this time of the year. Pottery Seconds can be affordable home decor additions or early holiday gifts! This event is one day only in the parking lot in front of Prairie Arts Center.
