We're excited to announce the 6th Annual Flood the Streets with Art event in Stillwater! Our mission is to make art accessible to everyone by spreading FREE art throughout the streets. This initiative, which started on Facebook, is now a beloved community event in Stillwater. Local artists generously donate original pieces, which can range in size and form, whether 2D or 3D. You’re invited to contribute your own artwork! On December 14, 2024, we’ll hit the streets with our Art "Wagon," distributing art for the community to discover. Keep an eye on our social media for clues on where to find these hidden treasures! @prairieartscenter

To help make this happen, we encourage anyone who wants to donate by delivering original pieces of art to Prairie Arts Center, 1001 S. Duck, between now and Dec. 124th by 7:00pm. We will have tags for you to leave information about the art.

We'd like to invite you to our first ever Holiday Print Party! All are welcome for this FREE community event from 6-8pm on Thursday, December 12th. Come in from the cold, eat snacks, be merry, and have fun printing holiday cards and wrapping paper with our extensive collection of holiday linocuts! No experience required, only good cheer!

The (Handmade) Ornament Emporium is the place to come to find unique, handcrafted, and up-cycled ornaments for this holiday season! Ornaments are lovingly created by the staff and artists here at Prairie Arts Center. Give these treasures as gifts or hang them on your own tree! All proceeds go to supporting future programming here at Prairie Arts Center.

We are excited to be hosting our annual Holiday POP UP Art shop a little earlier this year. Join us on Saturday, November 16th from 10 am - 2pm to get a jump on your holiday shopping. As always, there will be a host of local artists selling work in various mediums including pottery, printmaking, jewelry, fiber arts, woodworking, metalsmithing, and more. Artists will set up outside alongside Good Little Eater and the Stillwater Farmers Market. Don't forget to come inside to shop our holiday Ornament Emporium in the lobby and participate in our FREE holiday making activity that all ages and skill levels can enjoy!

The Stillwater Community Center, the Stillwater Public Library, Prairie Arts Center, Visit Stillwater, and Stonecloud Brewing are excited to announce that LexiCon, the Stillwater Cultural District’s mini-comic convention, will return with events from Thursday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 26. The festival is for fans of comic books, science fiction, gaming, anime, and pop culture. We are so proud to be a part of this event. It's pumpkin season! Make sure to schedule your paint a pumpkin before we run out of pumpkins. The pumpkin painting activity is great for families and friends to enjoy together.
