Feb 24th Art Adventure

Art Adventures, hosted by the Prairie Art Center staff, are an opportunity to explore the rich and diverse art traditions of Oklahoma in community with fellow art lovers. Art Adventures will take shape around the enthusiasm of its participants. We may travel to see an exhibition of interest, have a picnic lunch afterwards to discuss, and then find a local trail to stroll. We may take a day to wander around and appreciate the public art works of a town of interest, stopping to shop and eat along the way. Prairie Arts Center will not charge a fee for these outings, but participants will be required to sign up in advance and cover their own travel expenses. Come join us for an Art Adventure!

Due to the constraints of the pandemic, our inaugural Art Adventure will be right here in our own backyard. Join us on Thursday, February 24th at 6:00pm for an intimate tour of the current exhibitions at the OSU Museum of Art: Liz Roth's Understanding Place: Ideas and Process, and the whimsical, large scale Blow Up II: Inflatable Contemporary Art. Expect interesting insights and lively conversation with your fellow adventurers! Afterwards, join us at the Prairie Arts Center for an art making activity that will play off the themes and media experienced on the tour. Let the adventures begin!

Cost: FREE, but you must sign up in advance as space is limited.
