Join us in in this introductory metalsmithing series and take a deep dive into creating your own jewelry. In the first two sessions, you will get a thorough introduction to the Prairie metals studio and tools while creating a simple sterling silver ring. During this process you will learn how to create a bezel, saw, texture, solder, form a ring shank and set a stone. In the following two sessions, you will have the opportunity to fabricate a ring or pendant of your own design. The last two weeks will include open studio access to experiment and continue working on your final project. After completing this course, you will be eligible to enroll in open studio to continue creating!
