Join us this holiday season for some festive clay making projects! Instead of attending a public class, you and your friends and family can book your own time slot with ceramic instructor Missy Hitch. Build a gnome family, a nativity scene, or create some unique ornaments to add to your tree.
Gnomes for the Holidays
Join us for some holiday clay play and make your own family of adorable ceramic holiday gnomes. In the first session, instructor Missy Hitch will teach the hand-building process of creating the gnome forms. The gnomes will then be fired and the second session will be about glazing the gnome set.

Nativity Scene Pottery
Come join us for this special workshop and create a family heirloom that will be enjoyed for years to come! Instructor Missy Hitch will guide you in creating a simple and unique clay nativity set using basic hand-building techniques. You will build your scene on the first day of the workshop and pick out your glaze color. We will the piece in your chosen color and have it ready to pick up in time to display.

Cookie Cutter Ornaments
Get ready to roll out some clay and cut out some ornaments! We will be providing stamps and textured rollers for you to use to make these one-of-a-kind tree decorations. We have lots of cookie cutters to choose from, but if you have your own shape please bring it. You will glaze them the same day with a variety of colors to choose from.

Missy Hitch is a lifetime resident of Stillwater, but more recently a resident to the Prairie Arts pottery studio. Missy started her clay/pottery journey right here at the Prairie Arts Center. She is interested in learning from more experienced potters, expanding her knowledge in all things clay, and bringing that new knowledge into her teaching.
