September Intermediate Landscape in Watercolor Class

“You know the basics—but turning a landscape into a finished watercolor still feels challenging?”

This class is designed for those who already have some watercolor experience and a love for painting landscapes. Each class is demonstration-based. You’ll receive a reference photo, and the instructor will guide you step by step—from initial sketch and value study to a finished piece. You’ll first observe the process, then paint along with guidance. Questions are welcome at any time. By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear, repeatable process for creating watercolor landscapes and the confidence to bring your own spring scenes to life.

Introduction to Handbuilding - September

In this course, students explore the basic physical properties of clay by practicing a variety of hand-forming techniques used to create functional objects. Hand-forming techniques will include pinch pottery, slab and coil building, mold slumping, and texturizing surfaces. The objective of this class is not to make pieces to take home, but rather to learn what is possible and give students a chance to get their hands dirty and feel what it's like to work with clay. No previous experience with clay is needed for this class. This class is a prerequisite to attend open studio.

September Cross Stitch Bumble Bee Workshop

Want to learn how to cross stitch on your clothes, bags, or other fabrics? Come join us for this bee cross stitch workshop! You will learn the basics of cross stitching, and how to cross stitch onto other fabric materials. All skill levels are welcome.

All materials—including thread, fabric, hoop, and needle—are provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a non stretch material items from home to cross stitch onto (a pair of jeans, a bag, purse, etc.) but fabric is provided if needed. Anyone who does not finish in the workshop will be sent home with the materials needed to complete the design. We recommend bringing your reading
glasses as needed since we will be working with needles and small detailing.

Leather Wallet Workshop

Create a handcrafted leather card wallet in this beginner-friendly workshop led by leatherworker Jason Estala. Participants will personalize a pre-cut leather wallet using decorative stamping and tooling techniques while learning essential leatherworking skills, including stitching, edge finishing, and hardware installation. Jason will guide students through each step of the process, resulting in a durable, handmade wallet perfect for carrying business cards, credit cards, or folded cash. No prior experience is required, and participants will leave with both a finished wallet and a foundation in traditional leathercraft techniques.

August Mosaic Glass Coaster Workshop

In this two-hour beginner friendly class, students will craft a set of two fused glass mosaic coasters using beautiful glass globs in a variety of sizes and colors. The range of sizes and the smoothness of the globs adds a wonderful gem-like richness to these pieces. Participants will intuitively arrange the glass, playing with color, texture, and spacing to create a composition entirely their own. Whether you gravitate toward bold, graphic arrangements or something loose and organic, the design is completely up to you. No experience with glass or art of any kind is necessary.
