Whimsical Watercolor Fox Face

This whimsical process based activity is accessible to very young artists and artists of any age with special needs. The large round surface of the fox's head provides a great "empty canvas" for play and experimentation with watercolor paints. With very few additional steps, the process based painting is transformed into a large and happy fox face that will surely put a smile on anyone's face. Enjoy and happy springtime!

Objectives:
Students will be given the opportunity to play and experiment with watercolor paints on a large surface.

Students will transform a simple shape into a face in three easy steps.

 Materials:
  • One piece of large watercolor paper (or newspaper print)
  • Watercolor paints/brush
  • Black and white acrylic paint (or black and white paper)
  • Dinner plate (or something else big and round to trace)
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
