This workshop is all about impact and play! Lauren will guide you through creating a 36x36 abstract painting using your favorite colors.  She will discuss color mixing, mark making, layering, composition and common tools to create expressive, impactful abstract paintings. No experience necessary, and no drawing required - we are focusing on color and expressive marks! We will complete one painting during class.  Canvases and tools are supplied but see the additional supply list below. 

Learn the valuable skill of underpainting step by step with experienced artist Mark Crow. Underpainting creates texture and a subtle layering of light and color to acrylic works on canvas. Underpainting also allows you to rough in your composition which increases ease and speed to your painting process. With this ease comes the freedom to be playful and fluid in your color choices.
