Come learn paper clay sculpture with local artist Mo Wassell! She will demonstrate a small bust-type sculpture of a whimsical figure. Students are encouraged to bring sketches/photos of inspiration or a project they want to create, keeping in mind this course is geared toward whimsical sculpture rather than portrait/classical sculpture. Mo will teach basic face composition techniques and introduce you to paper clay and its properties and advantages. She will also discuss alternative and cold finishes. Depending on the size and complexity of your project(s) and your working speed, more than one project could be completed. Experience not necessary but helpful.
