You asked, and now we’re delivering! Join Patricia McDonald for an exciting introduction to Gelli printing at Prairie Art Center this December. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Gelli printing—a fun and versatile mono-printing technique that lets you create bold, layered patterns and vibrant textures with ease. Using a Gelli plate, acrylic paints, stencils, and various textured tools, you’ll experiment and discover the endless possibilities of color and design. By the end of this class, you’ll have a collection of your own unique prints, perfect for handmade cards, art journaling, junk journals, collage art and so much more! All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm for color and creativity!

This holiday season, take your gift-wrapping game to the next level with our Christmas Tag Glow-Up Workshop! In this class, we’ll start with adorable pre-made tags and transform them into super-cute, one-of-a-kind creations. Perfect for those who love crafting but don’t always have the time to start from scratch, this workshop will show you how to add festive flair using paper, scissors, glue, paint, Christmas sentiments, and texture paste.

In this two-day intensive, students will be introduced to both of the main styles of wood turning: spindle and bowl. Both styles offer unique challenges, techniques, and uses. Students will also learn how to sharpen the basic turning tools as well as the process for finishing with oils. Students will leave with completed projects ready to decorate the home. 

 

Come learn how to embroider a festive holiday tree using tree twigs! We will learn basic techniques including couching and line stitching to create our designs. No previous experience required.

Join us in a messy yet delightful crafting session to make these charming Crepe Paper Poinsettias! Instructor Meghan Brasuell will guide you through crafting these festive flowers, perfect for sprucing up your holiday decorations. This workshop is a part of our Christmas in July event. Be prepared for some messiness and consider bringing an apron from home. It's a beginner-friendly project that promises lots of fun! All necessary supplies will be provided.
