Instructor Missy Hitch will guide you in creating a simple and unique clay nativity set using basic hand-building techniques. You will build your scene on the first day of the workshop and pick out your glaze color. We will glaze the piece in your chosen color and have it ready to pick up in time to display.

This project will spruce up your front entry or backdoor for the holidays, plus it's functional and cute! Katie and her daughter, Sara, have made a dozens of these doormats and will guide you through the creative process. A high pile coir doormat will be provided. You will sketch out a design and then paint it using acrylic paint. After it dries, we will add a sealer. Come up with your own design or we will have some suggestions ready. All supplies included. This would be a fun project for parent and child to do together!

We are excited to host OSU's visiting artist, John Hitchcock, on Friday, October 28th from 2-4 pm.  Hitchcock, a Printmaker, Professor, and Associate Dean at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be printing an edition with the help of student print assistants. Visitors are invited to stop by to see the printing process in action and even pull a print of their own to take home as a souvenir. Hitchcock will be giving his artist talk the Wednesday before at 6pm at the OSU Student Union, room 408.

Get ready to roll out some clay and cut out some ornaments! We will be providing stamps and textured rollers for you to use to make these one-of-a-kind tree decorations. We have lots of cookie cutters to choose from, but if you have your own shape please bring it. The instructor will fire your ornaments in a kiln after they are made and they will be ready for pick up on July 16th and ready to glaze.
