Join us for a joyful Christmas in July workshop where we’ll transform provided papier-mâché ornaments into colorful, one-of-a-kind art pieces using handmade gelli printed papers created by artist Patricia McDonald.

Five Point Star Stained Glass Ornament
Come and join us for a hands-on glass session guided by stained glass artist Meghan Brasuell. During this workshop, you will craft a five-point star ornament while learning the Tiffany-style stained glass method. This workshop is perfect for all skill levels. Waxing Poetic Workshop - Cold Wax and Oil
Students will learn how to use cold wax and oil as a malleable medium to create texture in painting and multimedia applications. The class is a fun, freeing exploration of this rich medium, employing techniques and playful expression on oil paper. The instructor will cover the properties and demonstrate application of cold wax and oil and then students will paint, paint, paint! The class is limited to 10 participants to allow for individual attention. Be prepared to get messy and have fun! Apron or old clothes are desirable. All supplies are provided. A supply fee of $20 is due to the instructor at the beginning of class. All skill levels are welcome.

You've all seen the inspiring holiday craft reels on Tik Tok and Instagram, right? Maybe you've even saved them with the intention to come back and actually sit down and make the ornament, garland, wreath, etc. But it turns out you need some REEL support to see it through! Well, we've got you! This holiday season, we are offering just that. We've picked six of our favorite holiday craft reels and created a class schedule so that you can come in and get the support (and camaraderie and fun) that you need. We'll provide the supplies (mostly up-cycled) and some added instruction and we are only charging 10 dollars per class. JOIN US!

You asked, and now we’re delivering! Join Patricia McDonald for an exciting introduction to Gelli printing at Prairie Art Center this December. In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of Gelli printing—a fun and versatile mono-printing technique that lets you create bold, layered patterns and vibrant textures with ease. Using a Gelli plate, acrylic paints, stencils, and various textured tools, you’ll experiment and discover the endless possibilities of color and design. By the end of this class, you’ll have a collection of your own unique prints, perfect for handmade cards, art journaling, junk journals, collage art and so much more!
