Holiday Doormats with Katie and Sara Roberts

This project will spruce up your front entry or backdoor for the holidays, plus it's functional and cute! Katie and her daughter, Sara, have made a dozens of these doormats and will guide you through the creative process. A high pile coir doormat will be provided. You will sketch out a design and then paint it using acrylic paint. After it dries, we will add a sealer. Come up with your own design or we will have some suggestions ready. All supplies included. This would be a fun project for parent and child to do together!

John Hitchcock - Open Studio

We are excited to host OSU's visiting artist, John Hitchcock, on Friday, October 28th from 2-4 pm. Hitchcock, a Printmaker, Professor, and Associate Dean at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be printing an edition with the help of student print assistants. Visitors are invited to stop by to see the printing process in action and even pull a print of their own to take home as a souvenir. Hitchcock will be giving his artist talk the Wednesday before at 6pm at the OSU Student Union, room 408.

Linocut Holiday Cards

Would you like to make your own cards to send out this holiday season? We will learn how to transfer a pattern, carve your own custom design into linoleum, and then print it onto cardstock! Please come to class with a sketch or an idea of what you would like to carve.

Holiday Wreath Painting with Mark Crow

Celebrate the season with this festive holiday wreath painting! This one-day workshop, taught by Mark Crow, will allow you to learn different painting techniques all while bring your holiday wreath to life. This class is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to add to their holiday decor.

Cookie Cutter Ceramic Ornaments

Get ready to roll out some clay and cut out some ornaments! We will be providing stamps and textured rollers for you to use to make these one-of-a-kind tree decorations. We have lots of cookie cutters to choose from, but if you have your own shape please bring it. The instructor will fire your ornaments in a kiln after they are made and they will be ready for pick up on July 16th and ready to glaze.

Holiday Stockings

Do you need new holiday stockings- for a new family member, a new baby, a new house with a mantel, or maybe you have always wanted to make them yourself? Check out our handmade felt stockings! These appliquéd felt stockings will inspire you to get creative. We will provide the cut outs for up to four different stocking patterns to choose from. You will aplique your choice of image and then embellish it with beads, ribbon, trim or whatever you might like. Each stocking is individually priced so you can purchase additional materials to finish more stockings at home.
