Saturday, April 7,2018, 1:00pm - 4:00pm  - Dive into mixed media and paper arts with this introduction to texture andcolor.  Create an abstract design as you experiment with gorgeous papers, marvelous metallics and fabulousfibers to create a small sculpture or wall art.  All tools and materials will be supplied.

Try your hand at mixed media in an informal setting where friends meet to share tips and tricks. Develop your own creative style as you explore the Art Center’s array of art materials and equipment. Guided projects will inspire you with new techniques, and free time will give you the opportunity to work at your own pace.

Mixed Media Open Studio is free for members and $5 per visit for non-members. Visit with Art Center staff to learn about our flexible scheduling for guided projects.

The medium is the message. Our medium will be cards and postcards, and the message will be whatever tickles your fancy. We’ll have all the tools, materials and ideas you’ll need to produce several cards, envelopes and postcards. April is National Poetry Month, so bring a poem or two to use in your mail art.
