Description

October 5th, 12th, & 26t, 1-3pm.  Learn to use the silkscreen process to create your own limited edition prints, posters and t-shirts! Students will learn about reduction printing, stenciling, and the use of photo emulsion. This style of printmaking is fun and accessible for all skill levels. You're bound to leave the class with an exciting new skill set and plenty of art work!


Instructor’s name:
Jenn Johnson is an artist and printmaker from Oklahoma who focuses in figurative abstraction. She graduated from Oklahoma State University’s BFA program in 2018, where she studied multiple forms of printmaking. Johnson has worked with various printmakers in Oklahoma, as well as interned at Universal Limited Art Editions in Long Island, NY. Her work has been shown in multiple juried exhibitions at the Gardiner Gallery in Stillwater, OK, at Print on Paseo in OKC, and in OVAC’s traveling show 24 Works on Paper. Johnson currently works as a Studio Assistant and Printmaker at the Prairie Arts Center in Stillwater, OK.


Course Type:
3 weeks; class meets once a week for 3 hours
(9 hours of instructional time)

Tuition:
$75.00 members; $100 non members


Ages:
16 years old and up


Supply Included:
The course fee includes all materials needed, with the exception of t-shirts, totes or archival paper. We do supply poster paper for printing.
