In this special Saturday class, students will learn about the pop art movement and American pop artist Jim Dine. They will look at his piece, The Confetti Heart, and be inspired to make their very own colorful heart paintings on canvas. They will then be able to share their hearts with family and friends for Valentine's Day!

Megan Bretz is a visual artist and future educator originally from Pennsylvania. Megan has recently completed her Bachelor’s of Art degree in Studio Art at Oklahoma State University with a focus in sculpture and multimedia. In May 2022, she will have completed her additional PK- 12 teaching certificate. Megan has had experience teaching in school classrooms and community art organizations for a variety of young ages for the past couple of years. She uses her passion for art in both the 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional world to inspire young students to explore and be creative.
