The Art of the Andes: June 25th-28th

This week we will be exploring the artists and rich artistic traditions of the nations of the Andean Region including Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia. We will meet Pachamama and Pachapapa, learn the meaning of  ayni, a living Andean philosophy of reciprocity, and be inspired by the bright colors of the textile arts that adorn the people and animals of the mountains. Join us!

Each week students will create works inspired by the history, geography, culture, and art of a different country or region below the equator. Each 4 day camp will include a combination of two dimensional and three dimensional projects, and will be divided into a 6-10 year old age group and an 11-14 year old group. As always, we will learn a lot, play, explore, and expand our understanding of art and the world around us!
