11-14yrs Summer Art Camp
We are excited to announce some changes in our summer programming for students between the ages of 11 and 14. Each week, rather than focusing on a theme, students will have the opportunity to focus on one particular medium. They will explore and create while developing skills in medium-specific processes and with medium-specific tools. These camps are four days a week, and 2.5-3 hours each day.
Save the Dates: Artist In The Spotlight Summer Art Camp
Join us this summer as we shine the spotlight on the lives and work of six important and enduring visual artists. Each week students will explore a different artist in depth, creating works inspired by their medium, subject matter, philosophy, and life. Each 4 day camp will include a combination of two dimensional and three dimensional projects developed for 6-10 year old artists. As always, we will learn a lot, play, explore, and expand our understanding of art and the world around us!

Fall Break Art Camp - The Stories Objects Tell
Prairie Arts Center is excited to partner with the Stillwater History Museum at the Sheerar for this year's Fall Break Camp. This 3-day camp will begin on Wednesday, October 16th with a visit to the museum for an interactive tour. Campers will get to see and touch some of the Sheerar's most interesting historical objects and learn the stories of another time. Taking those objects and stories as inspiration, we will spend the rest of our time together making object based artworks that tell our own stories. Students should bring a lunch and snack, and come dressed for the weather and making messes.
