February Mondays: Mahjong Open Play

Join us for Mahjong Open Play at Prairie Arts Center—a relaxed, welcoming space to gather, play, and connect.

This is open play, not instruction, and is ideal for players who want to continue learning and move beyond the basics. Bring your own
beverage and snack—we’ll provide the game sets and cards. Play will use the National Mah Jongg League card or The Big Card, table decides the card.

2nd Annual Holiday Print Party

Join us for our 2nd Annual Holiday Print Party! All are welcome at this FREE community event on Saturday, December 20th from 10 AM – 1 PM. Spend the morning printing holiday cards and wrapping paper using our extensive collection of holiday linocuts.

Flood The Streets With Art 2025

We're excited to announce the 7th Annual Flood the Streets with Art event in Stillwater! Our mission is to make art accessible to everyone by spreading FREE art throughout the streets. This initiative, which started on Facebook, is now a beloved community event in Stillwater. Local artists generously donate original pieces, which can range in size and form, whether 2D or 3D. You’re invited to contribute your own artwork! On December 13, 2025, we’ll hit the streets with our Art "Wagon," distributing art for the community to discover. Keep an eye on our social media for clues on where to find these hidden treasures! @prairieartscenter

The (Handmade) Ornament Emporium

The (Handmade) Ornament Emporium is the place to come to find unique, handcrafted, and up-cycled ornaments for this holiday season! Ornaments are lovingly created by the staff and artists here at Prairie Arts Center. Give these treasures as gifts or hang them on your own tree! All proceeds go to supporting future programming here at Prairie Arts Center.

Frog and Toad Reading & Making Project

Join us on Saturday, November 5th for a reading of Frog and Toad All Year by Arnold Lobel! The students from the Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Fraternity will be performing the reading at 10:30 am. Come see what Frog and Toad have been up to all year and construct some cute frog and toad shadow puppets afterward! Everyone is welcome, and this activity is FREE.

Paint Your Own Pottery

"Bisque" is the stage that the pottery is in when it's ready to paint. We have mugs and terracotta pots for you to pick out. Each piece is $15.00 plus tax.
