Come learn fused glass basics and design something special for the season. Students can make a nightlight or three ornaments, both are perfect for gift giving or adding to holiday decor. After the class, your piece(s) will need to be fired in our kiln. You can come pick them up on or after Tuesday, November 14th.
Fused Glass Suncatcher
Would you love to make an artwork made from glass but the idea of cutting glass is intimidating? Well this is YOUR class! Come and use glass that is already cut (scraps, irregular shapes, cabochons and stringers) to design a beautiful, personalized suncatcher or trivet. The base will be clear glass and you can choose between a long rectangle shape or square. When we fire the pieces, hooks can be added for hanging or it can be used as a trivet.

This series of classes is designed to teach you the basics of glass fusing as well as some fun, slightly more advanced, techniques to explore. You will also learn glass studio safety protocols and how to properly use and care for the tools, materials, and equipment. What is glass casting? Glass casting is the process of melting glass into a mold, where it solidifies and creates a glass object. Join instructor Candy Beth Michalski as she walks you through the process of casting either a butterfly, feathers, or hearts. These objects can be turned into plant stakes, necklaces, magnets, or paperweights.

Fused Glass Potted Plant Decorations
Join us in learning how to use glass to create beautiful potted plant decorations! You will use different colors of glass to design unique decor to add to your potted plants or garden. Students can make up to three decorations and instructor Candy Beth Michalski will guide you through the process. No previous experience is needed.
