How are you coping?
I don't think we are ... I guess we try to take one day at a time.

What, if any, new rituals have emerged for you?
We have been eating dinner together, even if is just eggs and toast. Because of that, we have started a new family tradition where we all share our high and low of the day - high is the best part of our day and low is the least favorite part of our day. We have also started doing daily yoga, using Cosmic Kids yoga, listening to storytime provided by the Stillwater Public Library, and doing art activities inspired by my work at the Museum and the Creative Classroom from the Prairie Arts Center.

The worst thing about quarantine.
We have had no outside help with the kids and they miss their grandparents greatly. My parents, who live in Brazil, were supposed to be here in May and now... I don't know when will be able to see them. We also miss my husband's mom who lives in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.

The best thing about quarantine.
Having dinner together and going on walks in the mornings.

What are you most thankful for?
I am thankful and grateful for having a home, available healthcare, and a job that I can do from home - but I mostly thankful for my family and friends here in Stillwater and in Brazil.

Happy Earth Day, friends! Consider honoring our planet today by creating a temporary piece of art made only from nature’s treasures. Build a nest, make a mandala, a spiral, spell your name with stones, create a cairn. Land artists like Andy Goldsworthy can provide inspiration and direction. Make a time-lapse or stop motion video or simply take a photograph to memorialize your art. Let it fall apart, blow away. Celebrate the beauty that is all around us!

Jacqui Savage, Jacqui is creative with many things but is master of none.
Not exactly one just a mess of many.

How are you coping?
I am keeping very busy in my greenhouse, first planting seeds and now transplanting seedlings into pots.

What, if any, new rituals have emerged for you?
None really, this is what I do every spring.

The worst thing about quarantine
Not being able to go grocery shopping.

The best thing about quarantine
We are cleaning out the freezer, didn’t realize how much meat I had in there.

What are you most thankful for?
That I am still alive and so far not contracted the virus.

This week in Art Academy online, we took a virtual tour of the Pitt Rivers Museum Oxford @pittriversmuseum , an archaeology and anthropology museum on the Oxford University campus. It was so much fun to explore the collection together! To add to the excitement and learning, we went on a visual scavenger hunt. We looked for something with a pattern, a symbol, a tool, something made of leather, something made of wood, and a form or shape that we liked. We also named our favorite object and discussed what we’d do with it if we could bring it home. Together, we imagined how the museum would feel and smell if we were really there. This would be a great way “to travel” together at home. Search virtual tours and find a good fit for you. For more activities and prompts, visit our Creative Classroom.
