Introduction to Screenprinting

Are you interested in crafting your own limited-edition prints, posters, and t-shirts? Our Introduction to Screenprinting class is perfect for you! Learn the silk screen process from start to finish, including reduction printing, resist techniques, and photo emulsion application. This style of printmaking is both fun and accessible for all skill levels. You'll receive expert guidance throughout the class and, by the end, you'll have an impressive collection of artwork to take home.

 

Instructor Name 
Rob Smith is the Director of the Lachenmeyer Arts Center in Cushing, Oklahoma. He taught printmaking at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond for 28 years.   He has been actively involved creating prints in the screen printing process for 40 years. Smith holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma in Norman and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas. Rob's Smith’s prints have been exhibited in over 150 juried art shows nationally.
