This class offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with the newest fiber arts phenomenon - rug tufting. We will provide your frame, your tufting cloth, your choice of four different yarn colors from our selection, and your tufting machine, as well as an instructor to guide you through it! By the end of the two day class, you’ll have a fully tufted rug. You can choose a design from our preselected options or create your own design! After the workshop we will finish the backing of your rug for you, and they will be available for pickup right back here at the PAC.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to cut your own cabachons? A cabochon is a gemstone that has been shaped and polished to be a dome shape on the top and is usually flat on the bottom. In this one day class you will learn how to cut, shape and polish cabs from slab material. Students will learn how to use a trim saw and cabbing equipment.
