The goal of Open Studio is for students to work freely on their own projects within a flexible schedule. Open Studio is open to students that have completed Wheel 1 or Handbuilding. During these hours students may come in and work. This is not a led class, but a working studio where questions can be addressed to instructors and peers. We hope to create an environment where students can experiment and get creative while having a community of support!

In this class, you will learn the basic tools, materials, and techniques, used with watercolor and gouache.  Explore the differences and similarities between the two medias over two days by practicing techniques such as washes, glazing, color transitions, and fading.  On the third day, follow along to create a cute card or design your own by experimenting with the skills you learned.
