In this creative, process-centered series, you’ll create two original 10x10 artworks on cradled wood panels using gelli printing, mark-making, stenciling, and layering with painted and found paper elements to build rich, textural compositions. Each week introduces a new mixed media technique—focusing on color, contrast, visual composition, and creative rhythm—to help you build expressive, cohesive works of art.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop your own “collage fodder” using layered textures and hand-painted elements. The final artwork will feature vertical strip-style compositions using the papers you’ve created and collected. This class is joyful, hands-on, and intentionally imperfect—offering structure, support, and lots of room for intuitive play.
