Intermediate Watercolor Course Series—Mastering the Stunning Sunset in Watercolor

Have you ever wished you could preserve the breathtaking beauty of a sunset?
In this focused four-week course, you’ll learn exactly how to do that. Together, we’ll move beyond the basics and explore how to transform the radiant colors and tranquil atmosphere of twilight into your own expressive, small-format watercolor paintings. This class is the perfect next step for those who are ready to turn inspiration into finished artwork with confidence and intention.
Following a "new scene each week" format, each session guides students through the completion of a distinct, small-format sunset painting using their own paints and brushes. This intensive four-week program builds on your foundational watercolor skills and shifts your practice from experimentation to purposeful creation. Designed for students eager to strengthen their personal workflow, the curriculum weaves together art-historical context, core design principles, step-by-step demonstrations, and encouraging, constructive critique.

By the end of the course, you will know how to translate real-world scenes into fully realized small-format watercolor paintings, empowering you to use watercolor as a reliable, expressive tool for capturing and interpreting the beauty in everyday life. Students will walk away with not only new techniques but also complete at least four pieces and a deeper understanding of their own artistic voice.
