In this stained glass workshop, led by artist Meghan Brasuell, participants will create a heart-shaped suncatcher using the Tiffany-style stained glass technique while learning essential stained glass skills including cutting, foiling, soldering, and finishing. We’ll also introduce a hobby came surround, a technique that will give your piece a clean, structured edge. If you’ve taken a stained glass class with us before, this workshop offers new techniques to learn and build on your experience.
This class is open to all skill levels and is designed to spark creativity while guiding you step by step through the process. Each participant will leave with a one-of-a-kind heart suncatcher they made themselves, measuring approximately 5 inches in height.
Please note: We will not be using pink or red glass in this workshop, as those colors are significantly more expensive. A beautiful selection of alternative colors will be provided.
Safety Information:
Working with stained glass involves lead and flux, which can be harmful if consumed. We will work in a well-ventilated space and follow proper safety practices throughout the class. Please wear closed-toed shoes, and if you bring a drink, be sure it has a lid.
