In this workshop, you will learn basic Special FX makeup techniques to create truly gruesome effects just in time for Halloween! You will learn how to paint black eyes and bruises and how to make an easy monster skin out of household gelation and food coloring. For a finishing touch, we will take our effects to the extreme with some fake blood. It's sure to be a frightfully good time!

Advanced Wheel Throwing with Kim Bryant

Join pottery instructor, Kim Bryant, to create a unique entertainment service set that includes a pitcher, a medium to a large platter, a relish tray and caddy. You will learn to dart and alter wheel-thrown forms and how to throw consistently sized and uniformly shaped pieces. Students will glaze on their own time.

Mondays - Wheel Throwing 1 with Jo Haven
Instruction will include students’ skills in the areas of general properties of clay, throwing on the wheel, and glazing. This is a class that will allow you to get your hands dirty, make mistakes, and get the feel of the wheel. No previous experience in clay is needed for this class. Upon completing this class, students are eligible for instructional open studio time.
Tuesdays - Wheel Throwing 2 with Alyssa White
Introduction to Wheel Throwing 2 will offer the continued practice of centering and creating a cylinder vessel. Demonstration and discussion on advanced surface decoration and glazing techniques will also be covered. Students should have previously taken the Introduction to Wheel Throwing 1 to participate in this class. During this class, students are eligible for instructional open studio time.
