In this class, students will experiment with two types of felting; needle felting and wet felting. For the first project, they will wet felt a bar of soap.  The soap is covered with a layer of felt which they will decorate with colorful pieces of wool.  The finished soap serves as both soap and washcloth and the felted layer continues to shrink as the soap is used. Students will also be able to needle felt at least one holiday ornament using colors and shapes of their choice.  These items make great gifts or they can be kept and used for their own holiday decorations.

Using Natalie Wargin's painting as inspiration, students will create a snowy owl in flight deep in the forest!  Our forest will be painted in acrylic and our snowy owl will be a beautiful watercolor collage. This is a step by step class, ensuring every student's success!

Come join us for this special workshop and create a family heirloom that will be enjoyed for years to come! Instructor Missy Hitch will guide you in creating a simple and unique clay nativity set using basic hand-building techniques. You will build your scene on the first day of the workshop and pick out your glaze color. We will the piece in your chosen color and have it ready to pick up in time to display.

Pinch pots are the foundation of so many handbuilding projects. Come let Mo Wassell walk you through turning a pinch pot into a ball ornament for this holiday season! You get to decide how your ornament will be finished (Mo will provide you with plenty of options) and you will have time after your ornament is bisque fired to glaze on your own in the studio.

You’ll use our pre-made stencils and screen printing ink to create your own tote bag with help from the instructor. You can make up to 2 bags.
