Create your own icicle ornaments with clear glass and dichroic glass. These make perfect gifts or something special for your own home! No prior experience with glass is necessary. The instructor will fire your ornaments in a kiln after they are made and they will be ready for pick up on July 21st.

Learning Through the Lens: A Photography Art Camp for 4 and 5 Year-Olds

In this exciting two day camp for 4 and 5 year-olds, students will explore texture, color, light, perspective, and composition through the lens of a camera. They will create still life scenes to make images of, as well as explore the grounds of the center with their cameras in tow. Through process, play, and experimentation, each student will create a set of images that tell their own unique visual story. For our first ever camp for 4 and 5 year-olds, Prairie Arts Center is excited to be partnering with OSU's Department of Human Development and Family Science and their Early Childhood Education program.

Beginning Acrylic Painting with Mark Crow

Join instructor Mark Crow to create an inviting outdoor scene with colorful greenery and bright flowers. It's a great painting project for beginners! Learn valuable skills and techniques while creating a beautiful painting for yourself or a loved one.

Intro to Screenprinting with Bianca Ferreira

This class will introduce you to three basic methods of screen printing: stencil, screen filler, and emulsion. You will learn techniques and tools necessary to use our studio facilities as well as a crash course in photoshop and transparency photo printing for rendering images to use for screenprinting. There are many possibilities with screenprinting hand drawn images and digital images so come prepared with some broad ideas of what kind of imagery you want to make and be ready to take notes. A good start for image references is Pinterest. Once you have completed this class you will be able to schedule time in the print studio on your own.
