Beginning Jewelry Making

This exciting two day beginning jewelry making course will teach students the essential basic skills of the craft. Students will learn to saw, texture, form, solder, and set stones in the creation of wearable jewelry objects. All project materials (metal and stones) and use of basic jewelry making hand tools will be provided in the course fee.

Instructor
Courtney Lynn Kelly is a Stillwater resident and a graduate of Oklahoma State University's Jewelry/Metals program. She often works with india ink on wood combined with acid-etched sterling silver. Her work is meticulously detailed and vibrantly painted. She is influenced by folk art, scripture, poetry, and her travels to New Mexico and France.

All Supplies Included
Students need to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get messy. Students are encouraged to bring a refillable water bottle with the student’s name on it.
