Come check out the process of lithographic printing using Smart Plates, an easier and accessible entry into the old practice of lithographic printing. During this course, you will get to see a demonstration of the lithography process. With help and guidance from the instructor, you will also use a pre-made plate to pull your own print on the litho press! Plates will have fall themes and you will be able to take your print home after class.
Print From Nature - Leaf Reliefs
Join us for this fun, exploratory printing class that will teach you how to use fresh botanicals to create prints. Assorted leaves and flowers will be inked and pressed to make original compositions. We provide all necessary supplies, but feel free to bring in your own gathered leaves and flowers for that special touch. Pre-pressed botanicals that aren't completely dry work best.
Wheel Throwing 1
Instruction will include students’ skills in the areas of general properties of clay, throwing on the wheel, and glazing. This is a class that will allow you to get your hands dirty, make mistakes, and get the feel of the wheel. No previous experience in clay is needed for this class. Upon completing this class, students are eligible for instructional open studio time.

Smart Plate Lithography - Art Partner
Learn the basics of lithographic printing using smart plates. Smart plates are polyester plates that allow for easier lithographic printing with cheaper, more accessible materials and minimal chemical processing. Come to class prepared with an image/composition in mind. You can hand draw on the plate or trace. Plates are approximately 7"x 6 to 12." This crash course in smart plate lithography will allow you to enter our open studio hours and continue your printmaking practice.

Block Printing - Art Partner
Learn the basics of block printing one-on-one in this introductory art partner course.
Block printing is a type of relief printing that utilizes a carved block made of wood, linoleum, softcut rubber, or vinyl. The block is rolled up with ink and printed onto a surface using pressure applied either by hand or a printing press. This crash course includes lessons on carving (into softcut), inking, and printing. Demonstrations will be done with pre-carved blocks with time allowed for you to carve your own block. This course qualifies you for open studio hours so you can continue with your block printing adventures!
