In this workshop students will create a unique pair of sterling silver earrings with moons and stars. Students will use the torch to solder, learn to use a jewelers saw, texture, stamp, and add other embellishments. No previous experience necessary!

In this class, you will be creating a reusable, long lasting, freeform screen that can be used with underglaze on your ceramic pieces (either on a form/vessel or on flat slabs). Your maximum image size will be 5 x 5 inches and you will have the choice to make up to two screens (i.e. two images/designs). You can create a single image or repeatable pattern so that your 5 x 5 inch-image can be used to create larger works.  Ideally we will play with a slab of clay and underglaze after our screens have been made.

Create your own icicle ornaments with clear glass and dichroic glass. These make perfect gifts or something special for your own home! No prior experience with glass is necessary. The instructor will fire your ornaments in a kiln after they are made, and they will be ready for pick up on November 1st. 

In Whimsies Part 2 you will continue learning small-scale whimsical sculpture.  We will create a mythical/imaginary being, focusing on facial expressions (eyes, noses, mouth) and embellishments. Come prepared to have fun and stretch a little out of your comfort zone. If you didn't make it to the first one, no problem, Mo will get you caught up!

In this two-day workshop, get a taste of screen printing by creating an original design to print, exposing the design onto a screen, and printing it on a tote bag you can take home! Your design will be 12 x 12 or smaller and hand drawn or traced from an image. No previous experience required.
