Come learn paper clay sculpture with local artist Mo Wassell! She will demonstrate a small bust-type sculpture of a whimsical figure. Students are encouraged to bring sketches/photos of inspiration or a project they want to create, keeping in mind this course is geared toward whimsical sculpture rather than portrait/classical sculpture. Mo will teach basic face composition techniques and introduce you to paper clay and its properties and advantages. She will also discuss alternative and cold finishes. Even though returning students may be familiar with the themes and artists of the decades, the projects will be new. Unlike summer camp, students may attend one day, all four, or anything in between.
